AAC -- Augmentative and Alternative Communication

SLP -- Speech and Language Pathologist

CCN -- Complex Communication Needs.  Any person who is not able to use speech as a primary means of communication is a person with complex communication needs who could benefit from AAC.

SGD -- Speech Generating Device.  

​Voice Output Device -- Another word for a speech generating device.  These are often times used interchangeably.
